Privacy Policy
1. Data protection at a glance
The following notes provide an overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website or use features such as sign-in, reviews, and tool submissions.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Anima Artifex GbR
Adolf-Reichwein-Strasse 3
61191 Rosbach vor der Hoehe
Deutschland
E-Mail: info@aiscoutradar.com
3. Hosting and infrastructure
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When accessing the website, technically necessary log data is processed (e.g., IP address, timestamp, browser information) to ensure stability and security.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Processing in third countries may occur. For relevant third-country transfers, we use EU Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) in particular (Art. 46 GDPR).
Our database is operated via Neon (Serverless Postgres). Only usage and content data required for operation is stored there.
We conclude data processing agreements with our service providers (especially hosting and database) in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR where processor relationships exist.
4. Sign-in (OAuth via GitHub and Google)
For sign-in, we use OAuth services from GitHub and Google. In particular, name, email address, and profile image are transmitted to us and stored for account management.
We also store technical authentication data (provider ID, session token, timestamps) where required for login and security.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (user contract or pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure authentication).
5. Data processed on the platform
When using our features, we process the following data depending on usage:
- Account data (name, email, profile image, login provider, session data)
- Content data (reviews, ratings, upvotes, tool submissions)
- Technical data (log files, error messages, security events)
- Moderation data (reports, review notes, moderation decisions)
- Optional: uploaded banner images in the admin area
Upvotes and reports are usage behavior and are processed as personal data where they can be linked to an account.
6. Cookies and sessions
We use technically necessary cookies for sign-in and session management.
In addition, we use audience measurement (Google Tag / Google Analytics). Analytics cookies may be set and usage data may be processed. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), where consent is required.
7. Public profiles and reviews
Username, profile image, and published reviews are visible on the platform. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional and transparent review platform).
Users can request deletion of their account and personal profile data by email.
Upon account deletion, we delete profile data unless legal obligations require retention. Previously published reviews may remain in anonymized form where overriding legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR apply (e.g., integrity of the review corpus, abuse prevention).
In this anonymization, we remove direct personal references in particular (e.g., name, profile image, and linked profile references), so the review can no longer be assigned to a person without disproportionate effort.
8. Storage period
We store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Account data can be deleted upon request unless legal obligations prevent this.
Server and security logs are generally stored for 30 days and then deleted or anonymized unless longer retention is required for security or legal reasons.
In case of specific security incidents or ongoing legal disputes, affected log and moderation data may be stored until review completion, generally no longer than 180 days from collection.
9. Data security
We use technical and organizational measures, in particular TLS encryption, role-based access controls, least-privilege principle, logging of security-relevant events, and regular infrastructure updates.
10. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Plausibility checks for reviews are supplemented by human moderation.
11. Third-party and external content
Our pages may contain links and share functions to external services (e.g., social networks). When clicking these external links, the privacy policies of the respective providers apply.
12. Your rights
You have the following rights in particular:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent given (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For requests, contact us at info@aiscoutradar.com.
13. SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons. You can recognize an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
